We know this from classic fairy tales: if you get into dire straits, the white knight comes galloping up and saves you from certain doom. We winemakers have a "white knight" like that too, only his horse drinks diesel.
This year we desperately needed him, our knight, because the weather behaved like the proverbial dragon:

Everyone who has their own garden knows the problem: you look forward to the harvest for months, eagerly awaiting the first tomato, and then you don't know what to do with the excess and, after tomato salad, tomato soup, tomato casserole, tomato mozzarella and tomato bread, you can't stand the sight of tomatoes anymore.
We winemakers know this too. Once a year our cellar is bursting at the seams... and the rest of the year we live off of it. So what is the best way to store the precious liquid? This question has been answered very differently over the centuries:

Wine chat: unfiltered, straight from real life. With both feet deep in the Palatinate soil, hands sticky with grape juice, a head full of ideas and a heart full to the brim, just like the glasses.
This is not a textbook.
This is not a wine guide.
This is a piece of Palatinate winemaking life.
Welcome to the Palatinate.
Welcome to tradition & modernity.
Welcome to WeinGeplauder.

Because our high-quality and precious Lagenriesling is coming onto the market NOW – and – the connoisseurs will know – not the one from 2023, oh, no! It is the grapes from the 2022 harvest … because the Riesling, the noble, the fine, the good, is a real late bloomer. It needs to rest, rest, and rest again. And mature. Only then will it develop its aroma. Only THEN is it ready to be enjoyed.
But even that is not the end of the story when it comes to aroma development . Because things continue in the bottle too... and that's why we've set up our treasure trove! Here you can try the different vintages - and take a taste journey through time in fast motion that is unparalleled.

Our virtual Hall of Fame is a hero's podium & trophy showcase substitute. Because the Riesling awards that we have received in recent years are impressive (even if we say so ourselves). To be completely honest: We didn't expect that when we changed our focus a good 10 years ago!
Olympic champions win gold medals, football teams win huge trophies and winemakers receive… certificates. Something's wrong! It would be a Riesling cup made of pure gold, we can already see it in front of us: half a meter high, decorated with vine tendrils and delicate bunches of grapes, ice-cold, filled with a wonderful Graf Granit single-vineyard Riesling ... Oh yes.
