Damit hat niemand mehr gerechnet: Ein eiskalter, langanhaltender Frost mit viel Schnee zum Jahresanfang! Die Kinder im Dorf rodeln von Weyher über die sanft geschwungenen Hügel gleich bis ins nächste Dorf – und wir kommen mit unserem Auto, das nur Heckantrieb hat, nur noch rückwärts die Borngasse hoch. Doch für uns Landwirte gibt es auch bei Schneebergen immer noch eine Lösung: Dann fahren wir halt mit dem Traktor zum Einkaufen. Ein wenig langsam, ein wenig umständlich, aber wir kommen zum Ziel – und darauf kommt es schließlich an!
Zum neuen Jahr wünschen wir euch allen, dass auch ihr ans Ziel kommt, sei es nun Trekker-langsam oder rodel-schnell, das ist egal! Wir freuen uns über das kalte Wetter, denn damit haben wir schon einmal ein Ziel für das neue Jahre erreicht:

Have you heard the saying, "What do I care if a sack of rice falls over in China?" This relaxed attitude is no longer appropriate—because in today's global world, even aspects that seemingly don't concern us at all can have quite striking consequences.
What happened? ...
There are projects where you think, "This is a piece of cake." And then you get a rude awakening and the little piece of cake turns into a lump, even a millstone around your neck. That's what happened to us with our solar system.
It all started innocently enough sometime in 2022. We decided to move toward sustainable energy. We researched, discussed, and settled on a solar system. It had to be efficient, not significantly detract from the aesthetics, and, of course, ideally connected. To achieve optimal performance, we worked with experts to plan for every usable square centimeter of roof space. 60 kilowatts per hour was the stated goal, as our annual consumption at the winery currently amounts to almost 50,000 kilowatt hours (kWh), and the trend is rising.
Wine chat: unfiltered, straight from real life. With both feet deep in the Palatinate soil, hands sticky with grape juice, a head full of ideas and a heart full to the brim, just like the glasses.
