Our gourmet wines are between the Schoppen wines and the premium wines in terms of both price and alcohol content (11.5 to 12.5%). They are the perfect accompaniment to a delicious meal or food pairing... But they are also wonderful by the fireplace after a long day at work: put your feet up, breathe deeply, enjoy life! That is what the gourmet wines were made for. Because as the name suggests: if you want to unwind, the gourmet wines are just the thing.
In this category we have our largest selection of white wines: International grape varieties such as Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc complement the traditional Riesling. At the same time, we also grow future-oriented grape varieties, such as the climate-oriented Burgundy varieties and the Cabernet Blanc. Because of climate change, some traditional grape varieties (such as Riesling) have to struggle, while other grape varieties (such as Pinot Blanc) benefit from the rising temperatures.
Yes, and then of course we have the little crazy things in this category, like the G-spot (the G. stands for Graf, of course): A rosé in a stunning color, which is a real eye-catcher thanks to the pink cap.
If you like it a little sweeter, you should look for the aluminum capsules in orange: Our Blanc de Noir and Muscat were our personal favorites when we were really young (we're still young now, of course, but nostalgia knows no age ;-) ).
It's best to try them all once! It's worth it when shipping: with 15 bottles we save (all) the packaging material and you save the transport costs!
This is what wine experts say:
" Bright light yellow; the scent reveals the fruity aromas of apple, pear, gooseberry and pineapple; on the palate this is supported by an elegant, well-integrated acid structure; fresh and lively in the overall impression. " DLG Federal Wine Awards , Frankfurt, 05/2024
"Strong green-yellow; in the bouquet the impressive combination of orange, apple, banana with the spicy influences of mocha, coffee and cedar wood; in the taste the elegant play of aromas is supported by a pronounced melt and an exciting acidity arc; balanced and long finish." DLG Federal Wine Award , Frankfurt, 10/2021
"Straw yellow; intense scent of pineapple and grapefruit as well as local fruits such as peach and quince on the nose; juicy and creamy on the palate with a pleasant acid structure and ripe yellow fruits in the aftertaste." DLG Federal Wine Award , Frankfurt, 09/2020
"Straw yellow; in the bouquet, delicate notes of elderflower, lychee and hints of ripe pineapple; these attributes are also reflected in the taste, complemented by a piquant fruit acid; the wine is tangy, juicy and convinces with its lively freshness." DLG Federal Wine Award , Frankfurt am Main, 08/2019
"Very typical, intense aroma (apple, banana, also a hint of mint). Smooth in the mouth with refreshing citrus notes and subtle acidity. Ideal with fish and light starters, also with creamy pasta." Dr. Rolf Klein, experienced wine author and former editor-in-chief of the magazine " Weinwelt ".
