Habt Ihr euch als Kinder auch manchmal gefragt, ob das Schlaraffenland wirklich so paradiesisch ist, wie es klingt? Ob es wirklich so großartig ist, wenn man jedes Mal ein gebratenes Hühnchen im Mund hat, zack!, auch wenn man einfach nur mal gähnen oder lauthals lachen will? Und ob es wirklich so toll ist, wenn es Honig regnet (ausgerechnet Honig!)? Würde man den Wein noch schätzen, wenn er einfach so aus dem Brunnen kommt?

Kennt Ihr den Spruch: “Was kümmert es mich, wenn in China ein Sack Reis umfällt?”. Diese entspannte Haltung ist nicht mehr zeitgemäß – denn in unserer heutigen globalen Welt können auch Aspekte, die einen vermeintlich erst einmal gar nicht betreffen, ziemlich frappierende Auswirkungen haben.
Was ist geschehen? ...
There are projects where you think, "This is a piece of cake." And then you get a rude awakening and the little piece of cake turns into a lump, even a millstone around your neck. That's what happened to us with our solar system.
It all started innocently enough sometime in 2022. We decided to move toward sustainable energy. We researched, discussed, and settled on a solar system. It had to be efficient, not significantly detract from the aesthetics, and, of course, ideally connected. To achieve optimal performance, we worked with experts to plan for every usable square centimeter of roof space. 60 kilowatts per hour was the stated goal, as our annual consumption at the winery currently amounts to almost 50,000 kilowatt hours (kWh), and the trend is rising.
Wine chat: unfiltered, straight from real life. With both feet deep in the Palatinate soil, hands sticky with grape juice, a head full of ideas and a heart full to the brim, just like the glasses.

Anyone who stands in front of the wine shelf (and does not consider themselves a connoisseur) is often quite overwhelmed. So many names! So many quality specifications! What do I have to pay attention to? What does all this tell me? When different countries have been talking shop for hundreds of years and constantly adopting new definitions with many bureaucratic rules, it is no wonder that the result is an almost impenetrable jungle.
Honestly? Often you just buy the label you like, hoping that the contents will match.
