Our gourmet wines are between the bottled wines and the premium wines in terms of both price and alcohol content (11.5 to 12.5%). They are perfect companions for a delicious meal or food pairing... But they also look wonderful by the fireplace after a long day at work: put your feet up, take a deep breath, enjoy life! The pleasure wines were pressed for this purpose. Because as the name already says: If you want to relax and unwind, the gourmet wines are the right choice.
In this category we have our largest selection of white wines: international grape varieties such as the Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc complement the traditional Riesling. At the same time, we also grow future-oriented grape varieties, such as the climate-oriented Burgundy varieties and the Cabernet Blanc. Because of climate change, some traditional grape varieties (such as Riesling) are having to struggle quite a bit, while other grape varieties (such as Pinot Blanc) are benefiting from the rising temperatures.
Yes, and then of course we have the little craziness in this category, like that g point (the G. stands for Graf, of course): A rosé in a stunning color that is a real eye-catcher thanks to the pink cap.
If you like something sweeter, you should keep an eye out for the aluminum capsules in orange: Ours Blanc de Noir and muscat were our personal favorites when we were really young (we're still young now, of course, but nostalgia knows no age ;-) ).
It's best to try them all once! By the way, it's worth it when it comes to shipping: With 15 bottles, we save (all) the packaging material and you save on the transport costs!
What wine experts say:
"Tender yellow with amber reflections; the scent has a fruity character of mirabelle plum, pineapple and hints of banana; well-balanced play of sweetness and acidity on the palate with a complex finish." DLG Federal Wine Awards , Frankfurt, 10/2021
"In the nose a scent of pear with a hint of banana paired with hints of honeydew melon. Juicy taste, apricots in harmony with dried papaya and fine wood aromas. Goes well with duck breast with red cabbage, pork chops, pulled pork..." Dr. Rolf Klein, experienced wine author and former editor-in-chief of the magazine "Weinwelt".
