Green, green, green are all my colors
We love springtime in Weyher. When everything around us slowly turns green again and the sap shoots back into the vines, our hearts beat faster. It's like a green rush after such a long time in grey and brown.
Therefore, in this newsletter we celebrate everything that is green and have come up with a spring offer for spring greenery :
On Maundy Thursday 2024*
there is a five percent discount
on all our bottles with GREEN caps
So it's worth snapping up a bargain just before Easter (on March 28, 2024)! And if you want to earn an extra green star in terms of environmental karma, you should make sure to order 15 bottles (or 30 or 45 or 60 and so on... :-) ), because our super sturdy boxes fit exactly 15 bottles - and it's a shame to just send air!
After a break of many years, we were back at the ProWein in Düsseldorf for the first time this March. It is one of the largest wine fairs in the world . According to press reports, despite the rail strike on the last day of the fair, 5,400 exhibitors from 65 countries and around 47,000 trade visitors from 135 countries came to the event this year.
We took two things away from ProWein – a compliment and a suggestion:

We were told several times: "Wow, your wines are really cheap for the quality." We were really pleased about that - so we are basically the insider tip for quality! ;-)
The suggestion
Non-alcoholic wine is a big topic. We understand that, but we wonder what you think. So here's a mini survey:

Liebe Grafen,
in eurer Umfrage habt ihr gefragt, ob man gerne Alkohol freien Wein trinken würde? Es gab nur das Feld “ja” oder “nein”. Die Antwort “ja” allein ist noch nicht ganz Aussage kräftig! Ich habe im letzten halben Jahr ungefähr 10 Alkohol freie Weine verkostet. Keiner hat in mir das Gefühl “Wein” hervorgebracht! Das sind teilweise interessante Getränke, die man bis dato nicht kannte. Aber mit dem Geschmack von Wein hat das leider nichts zu tun!
Seit Jahren stellt die Fahrtüchtigkeit eine Herausforderung für jeden Weintrinker dar. Ein guter Alkohol freier Wein wäre hier die Lösung aller Probleme. Aber den gibt es meines Erachtens bis heute nicht! Sollte euch dies gelingen, wäre das ein weiterer Aufsehen erregender Wein in eurer durchaus vorzeigbaren Palette. Wir als Kunden lassen uns da gerne positiv überraschen.

Der ist wahrscheinlich wie Zuckerwatte ohne Zucker! Und außerdem gibt
es doch den guten Traubensaft. 😉

… noch eine Anmerkung zum Thema alkoholfreier Wein.
Ähnlich wie seinerzeit mit dem alkoholfreien Bier, wird euer Weingut um diese Thematik nicht herumkommen, auch wenn man heute noch den Kopf schüttelt.
