Two important factors are the location and yes, it's hard to believe the rock on which the vine grows! Our granite Riesling dry is a real specialty, because granite rock is relatively rare in Germany. Its slightly exotic taste is somehow reminiscent of the Caribbean. No wonder, because the extremely hard granite of the stone stores the heat the longest. This ensures that the grapes feel a little like they're on summer vacation... and then they easily transfer that to the connoisseurs!
